The
Oyster
Consider
the oyster when a grain of sand
pentrates an oysters shell. It irritates the
oyster making life uncomfortable. The oyster
relieves the pain by coating the sand with
a soothing liquid. When the liquid hardens
a pearl is formed.
The
very process that healed the oyster -
created a precious jewel. For others to
admire. The way in which we deal with
Life's situations - can make a difference
not only to ourselves but to others.
Pearls
can be formed from our experiences -
of grains of sand, anger, bitterness and
resentment can remain imbedded in us.
The choice is ours!
Laughter
The ability to laugh at our own mistakes
is very important.
In olden days fools and jesters
entertained royalty.
today we have clowns whose job
is to make us laugh.
Now
if we look closely at the clowns face.
We will see a cloak of saddness.
Clowns are alot like me they move rapidly
from one mood to another.
It's
often been said and I agree.
Laughter and tears come from the same well
of life.
Laughter is a gift unwrapped for us.
On the other side of this same coin
is a deepening sadness.
Mommies
Dedicated To: All Mommies
Mommies must be able to refrain from making
love
in the daytime.
And to interupt lovemaking at any given moment.
If a child or 3 of cries or coughs they
must be able to jump quickly.
At
any given second mommies must be able to bend and stoop,
lift and rock or even wrestle a bean from out of a childs
nose.
Mommies must be able to sit with little feet pressed
againist your their aching backs.
Sometimes
mommies get angry when the daddy stops being
there for you. Gone is all physcial and emotional support.
Then daddies complain how rough they have it while sitting
reared back in the easy chair while you do the mommy thing
all day and all night.
There
is no time for you the mommy. You have no time to
read a book that dosen't have Elmo or Big Bird gawking at
you.
No time to think, or write or even pee without a child big
or small crying and needing something right in front of
their noses.
As
children age so also do we. They become so disagreeable
and their fathers seem to regress until the children and the
fathers meet somewhere in the middle.
But mommies are old before they are young.
Neither the child or the father know who you really are
and what your secret day dreams may be.
Because neither one really cares.
